Overhead convo at #Fredericksburg #VA #PostOffice:
Customer: Where is everyone?
Clerk: Honestly, they're all quitting.
Customer: What about the supervisor? Can I talk to him?
Clerk: The supers are out delivering mail. Nobody's here. That's how short we are. It's bad.

A customer in line with me witnesses this conversation turned to me and said:
"My neighbor has been waiting for her social security check and her heart meds for weeks. I don't know how to help." #SaveTheUSPS
Personally, I've had no issues with sending or receiving USPS Priority Mail...it's letters, bills and such that are coming late for me.
My elderly neighbor (recently deceased) depended on #USPS for receiving bills & SS checks. Old folks don't do direct deposit & don't use computers. I would take her to the bank & she would cash her checks. She would pay folks in $ for groceries, lawn mowing etc. #SaveTheUSPS
There are people who can't drive, are handicapped or otherwise house bound that DEPEND on the #USPS. Postal workers also notice if mail is piling up & something seems wrong & call for a wellness checks. They may be the only person they see regularly. #SaveTheUSPS
