THAT OATH, which reads plainly, is serious and solemn and is no respecter of persons. Every Mountie @rcmpgrcpolice swears or affirms this oath.
"Competently conducted investigation" includes, at the risk of stating the obvious, one that is free of political interference (which, if present, would also come into conflict to Oath of Office).
