I'm watching the @CountyofSonoma Community Update on (dun dun dun) Facebook about #WalbridgeFire & #MeyersFire. Highlights in responses to this tweet.

CAL FIRE Chief Ben Nichols - No significant growth on any Walbridge today. Increased humidity has helped tamper spread.

Chief Nichols - #WalbridgeFire is on valley floor in N/NW Armstrong Woods - working with state park to minimize impact on old growth redwoods

No significant activity on NE corner along westside road or into the Dry Creek Valley

The increased humidity enabled positive efforts to contain activity better with dozers.

Had to contain a slopover today with helicopters dumping water on Pool Ridge Rd/Devils Backbone

#WalbridgeFire

Chief Sean Kavanagh from CAL FIRE - Making good progress, but #WalbridgeFire is a very large fire and difficult incident.

CAL FIRE prohibits public to donate food to firefighters. Please donate to nonprofits or Red Cross instead.

Sheriff Juan Valencia of @sonomasheriff wants to remind people to stay out of mandatory evacuated areas - it's for your safety and firefighter safety.

1 arrest made of someone who entered mandatory evac
ZERO looting incidents at #WalbridgeFire

Congressman @RepHuffman - if you need help getting FEMA or SBA loans if you are impacted by #WalbridgeFire or #MeyersFire resources are here and his office can help: huffman.house.gov/helping-you/wi…

When can evacuated people return to Cazadero, Rio Nido, Forestville & Guerneville?
Chief Nichols said "Several days" depending on fire conditions. "I'd be surprised if it's greater than five days." Fire dictates when people get back. #WalbridgeFire

Chief Nichols - Some infrastructure along Sweetwater Springs was lost and CAL FIRE must make it safe for you to get back in to the area or there could be injuries. #WalbridgeFire

Chief Nichols - Most of interior burned in #WalbridgeFire three days ago but hot spots are still active.

Sup. James Gore - Area looks like a warzone. Trees falling, very dangerous, lots of infrastructure being done. A lot of watershed will need to be worked. Ash in streams.

Dr. Sundari Mase is reminding us all that #covid19 is still a thing and you should wear a damn* mask.

*My addition

Chief Nichols - Fire has moved in Armstrong Woods near area where Colonel Armstrong tree is. There is a team there mitigating it and working on protecting the tree and the buildings there, etc. Must keep it in the canyon. #WalbridgeFire

Chief Nichols - No real activity near Cazadero/King RIdge Rd today - but there could be fire in area in 19000 block fo King RIdge Road. Being investigated. #WalbridgeFire

Chris Godley of SoCo - Water quality has not been impacted this time in County but watershed surrounding Lake Sonoma is being assessed to examine mineral, heavy metals, and infrastructure. #WalbridgeFIre
