Those interested in #wmata Metrorail safety & oversight will want to read this report. The table of contents itself tells a story:

(And if you aren't up for reading the entire audit, I've got an overview of its contents on GGWash later today) #wmata

The @MetrorailSafety audit executive summary sums up the high-level issue well. Metro's rail operations control center remains a mess after several high-profile incidents (including fatalities) and years of waiting for #wmata management to make significant changes.

On a side note, I really really like the ROCC logo. #wmata

My overview of today's WMSC report is out. #wmata

One can only wonder, if this WMSC audit were to have been made 5 years ago, if #wmata would be focused more on restoring ATO rather than maintaining the status quo (manual train ops) while doing long-range planning for CBTC.

* ROCC Director, 2017-2020: reassigned
* Director, 2015-2017: promoted
* Director, 2010-2015: left, unknown
* Director, 2008-2010: resigned/forced out, post-L'Enfant
