Hanuman reached patha lok found that in order to kill Mahiravana he is supposed to extinguish all 5 lamps at the same time; these 5 lamps were burning in different directions. Hanuman took the form of Panchmukhi Hanuman & puts out all lamps at the same time killing Mahiravana
