With both #COVID19 and the flu circulating this fall, this will be the most important #FluSeason of our lifetime.
So let me be clear - the best way to prevent the #flu is to get the flu vaccine.
That’s why my fall #COVID19 prescription is two-fold. We must continue practicing the 3 W’s. And we must use every lever to ensure all ages, races and ethnicities, and geographies receive recommended vaccinations.
I’m happy to announce today that @HHSGov has issued guidance to expand access to safe & effective #COVID19 vaccines when they are made available. State-licensed pharmacists will now be able to administer these vaccines to persons age 3 and older.
I also want to highlight the @usphscc - who are leading efforts to ⬆️ acceptance of & access to flu vaccine. They will also work to engage racial & ethnic minority communities w/ culturally competent msgs & ⬆️ access thru partnerships w/ states & community health centers.
