AWS (Advance Winter Stockings) are being supplied by DG, Army Supply and Transport. A huge logistics operation is being carried out, under supervision of DGMO.

Rations, spares for the engineering stores and weapons are being transported by Tatra trucks and ALS (Ashok Leyland Stallion) trucks.

Also deliveries, including M777-A2 ULHs (Ultra Light Howitzer) are being carried out from Thoise airbase to DBO (Daulat Beg Oldie) ALG (Advance Landing Ground) and COPs (Combat Operation Post) by Boeing Chinook CH-47 and Mi-17 V5 choppers.

Even HiSIBs (High Speed Interceptor Boat) are being transported by Lockheed Martin C130J Hercules, for use in Pangong Tso and Spanggur Tso.

The FOBs (Forward Operating Base) and COPs (Combat Operation Post) are being supplied with NVD (Night Vision Devices), POL (Petroleum, Oil, Lubricant) and ammunitions, shells, mortars.

Transportation is done expeditiously, considering the imperatives like the ROP (Road Opening Period) will end in October, due to ensuing winter.

The terrain is harsh for smooth transportation of logistics. In face of these obstacles fuel, medicine store, equipment, clothings, vehicles, kerosene, petromax, barrels, filtered water jerricans, ziploc pouch bags, rucksacks, para smocks, zeoline, satchels are being supplied

Also IPAKs (Individual First Aid Kit), Morphine & Noradrenaline injections, PWC (Previously Worn Serviceable) clothings and rescue stretchers are being stocked. Medical personnel from AMC (Army Medical Corps) and MNS (Military NursingServices) are also on duty.

OWS (Operational Work Stores) are being made to create habitat, protective defence, bunker and security fences.

Also lanyards, berets, regimental cummerband (waist-bands), angora jersies, light sole Brogue/Oxford LPC (Leather Personnel Carrier) boots/shoes are being stocked.

ECC (Extreme Climate Clothing), binoculars, Sig Sauer Gen-2 Patrol Assault Rifles, Bivouacs, CHU (Containerized Housing Units) are also being supplied.

Pattern Uniform supplied by OFC (Ordnance Clothing Factory), Avadi. Pillboxes, slit trenches, bunkers, berms and prefab thermally insulated temporary shelter homes (to prevent frostbite) are being setup at the encampments.

T-90 tanks, BMP-2 MICVs (Mechanized Infantry Combat Vehicle) / IFVs (Infantry Fighting Vehicle), Kestrel APCs (Armoured Personnel Carrier) are also on WARNORD (Warning Order) , ready for DEPORD (Deployment Order) .
