SA's behavior towards the #ZimbabweanCrisis would have been hilarious had it not been sad & unfortunate

Ancient wisdom says: "hope is a poor man's treasurer"
He holds on to it, because it is all he has got.
Yet there's a thin line between faith & stupidity.

2] A sad yet unambiguous fact, is that the #ZimbabweanCrisis has become a politicking issue in SA

Pres Ramphosa, like his predecessors, seem to be only concerned with "being seen as doing something", more so when progressive Opposition parties begin acting & speaking on Zim.

3] "WE WILL BE BACK" Season One was first filmed in Dec 2019

After meeting with & getting a presentation from ZCC's Rev Mtata & other world church Leaders,CR tactfully sent Pres Mbeki on a mission initially played down as a business meeting,until he also met Chamisa & POLADists

4] Regardless of the official reason for the visit, the result was that, Mbeki publicly asked Chamisa to join "the only game in town", POLAD before "promising to come back".

Nothing substantive came out from neither the trip, nor the promises thereafter

5] "WE WILL BE BACK" Season 2 was filmed early Aug 2020

RC sent his non-special special envoys to Zimbabwe after the humanitarian crisis deepened.

The #ZimbabweanLivesMatter movement had made it difficult to ignore the #ZimbabweanCrisis

This was 8 months after Mbeki's visit

6] The envoys, initially made it look like a balanced political diet, only turned out to be ED's political staple food.

Mufumadi has business interests here

Of the Mbete siblings,Baleka is ED's personal friend

Whichever way, they came,met ED, promised to return & left

7] Now, they have just filmed "WE WILL BE BACK" Seaon 3

This time around, a supposedly high powered delegation led ANC SG, ES Magashule came to Zimbabwe on the promise that they would "meet all stakeholders" to find a solution to what the ANC unambiguously christened a "crisis"

8] The only thing that came out of Magashula's trip was that he "talked tough" whilst in SA, came, lowered his mask, read out a nonsensical communique and then "talked tough" at the airport, on his way back to resume his factional battles in the ANC

& he promised to return too

9] Two things remain constant

Firstly, all 3 visits were premised on regional & internal pressure (within SA), on the ANC to act

Pressure indirectly came from SA celebs & the likes of @MmusiMaimane & @Julius_S_Malema who ran tirelessly with the #ZimbabweanLivesMatter movement

10] Secondly,both the ANC & the hopeful Zimbabweans lack a common understanding of what is 2 come out of the "interventions"

I reject the defeatist attitude that "we are on own"

"sovereignty" exists with an alignment to regional & international treaties & cooperation mechanisms

11] You cant go around lobying regional & internal institutions & countries to "help us remove sanctions", & then call them to order when they say things you deem unfavourable.

It's a hypocritical & pathetic excuse, more so when you make reference to Pan-Africanism

12] The ANC & ZANUPF have consistently reduced the genuine #ZimbabweanCrisis (with spill over consequences), to a PR stunt

One wonders why the two sister liberation movements won't just embrace technology & open a WhatsApp group were Ramaphosa & ED can just text each other

13] Fellow Zimbabweans, just like Money Heist, the characters are changing with each season, yet the plot & the agenda remains the same.

Those waiting for "WE WILL BE BACK" Season 4 can rest assured that it's coming, with new characters even.
