THREAD: Got to tour the new @CrewStadium site this morning.
Here are some pictures... #Crew96
From outside looking in: the parking lot across the street, and what will become the main entrance on the SE side (also where the Crew Brew Hall will be).
Now inside, a quick L to R scan of the same SE entrance.
Looking out at the west side along with what will eventually become the Nordecke (peep the steepness), and a closer look at the south side.
Looking out over downtown from the SE entrance, and a view of the east side concourse.
Field level now, looking at the west and then the south sides of the stadium.
Under the south end. Jon and Jeff were scarfing people left and right, it was an entire scene.
Now on the west side. First picture is where the Crew locker room will be, second picture is where the players will walk out before kickoff.
Making our way onto the field (or what will become the field). Looking up at the west side, and then the same view with a portion of the south end visible. Absolute beauty.
A cement block in the exact middle of what will become the playing surface. A lot of people are calling it the first capo stand in the new stadium. I did not try it out, but Ethan did. Capo Ethan, they’re calling him.
In this photo right here you have...
1. Downtown skyline
2. The new Nordecke
3. Dr. Pete soaking it in

Here’s a video of a large truck being driven onto the field, which someday soon will be considered a crime.
Walking along the rear of the west side.
Now on the west side looking NW, walking towards the edge, and looking out at the SE entrance towards the skyline.
Final shot, walking off the construction site on the SW corner.
It’s crazy to think that it hasn’t even been a year since the groundbreaking event. The speed and precision with which this project has been carried out is truly impressive, and I’m in awe of those who are working hard every single day to get it done.
Thanks to @aj_lacefield for setting up the tour. Getting to see the future home of #Crew96 up close is the only reason I’ve put on pants since April, and man was it worth it.
Glory to Columbus. End of thread.
