A Member of Parliament from UP (NOT BJP) promised Ikram brother of Akhlaq treatment for Akhlaq in PGI #Chandigarh .So I helped arranged an ambulance as the Salmani family trusted the MP & Akhlaq was taken from Saharanpur to Chandigarh. Upon reaching #PGI they refused to admit. N

I must add #PGIChandigarh is NOT at fault. The MP just gave the Salmani family a letter but did NOT do anything at PGI & was not answering their calls. At approx 11pm Ikram (brother) called me. Where would they go the night? My first thought was to call my buddy Tikku s/o Capt n

My 2nd thought was to call the Hon'able governor shri @vpsbadnore who is a gem of a human being but it was 11 pm! Suddenly @arunbothra ji's tweet came on my T/L & I called him to ask if he knew any officers to help this family. Within 5mins IPS HANIF QURESHI called 🙏. N

Both @arunbothra ji &Hanif Qureshi ji were in touch with me . An ambulance was arranged & Akhlaq and Ikram were taken to Panchkula where he were admitted in the hospital. Where would they have spent the night otherwise? With a cut hand, Akhlaq was at risk of infection. N

Hanif Qureshi ji was in touch with me till 1am. The politican ditched Akhlaq and Ikram Salmani, but two amazing officers helped & shelterd them and did it from their heart. Thank you @arunbothra ji you are an amazing person and thank you Hanif Qureshi ji. ❤
