I rolled the dice to randomize the #MinCup2020 bracket.

I’m pretty sure my dice hate me. These are both SUCH GOOD MINERALS, and I’m still working on a deadline so can’t thread yet.

My campaign for #gypsum in #MinCup2019:

We’ve played a few games with #gold.

I played out the consequences of some seriously creepy fiction:

& you thoroughly investigated gold during #YouFindARock:

I still don’t know which way I’ll vote in this #TeamShiny showdown, but if you have a preference for what I thread about during Round 2 get your votes in!

This is the most tightly-contested match of #MinCup2020 so far.

If you haven’t yet discovered you hold strong opinions about rocks, I highly recommend wading in to see who will persuade you.

Foodie? Or just love the concept of licking rocks?

Or maybe you’re a sucker for linguistic arguments?

Possibly archeology will sway your vote?

Or you’re a fan of unusual properties and/or spaceflight?

As a a West Coaster, I’m still torn.

#Gold rushes dominate recent history, and define so much of our geologic context.

Yet without #Gypsum drywall, I’d be even more miserable in all this choking smoke.
