THREAD: Today, there are 890 confirmed positive cases of #COVID19 among Oregonians in prison. There are 225 cases among prison staff. We sued for better protections for people inside from COVID. So far the court has declined to order them.
Six people have now died while positive for #COVID at #Oregon prisons, four last month, one in May, and one this month. The most recent death was of a man in his 60s who was incarcerated at Snake River and died in a local hospital.
Three of #Oregon's largest workplace outbreaks are in prisons: Snake River CI (1st), Eastern Oregon CI (2nd), and Two Rivers CI (5th) according to @OHAOregon
We’re seeking compensation for incarcerated Oregonians diagnosed with COVID. Thanks to everyone who sent us a completed questionnaire to let us know what’s happening with COVID inside. An updated questionnaire is out now: bit.ly/3hQWG6L
Find a list of free or lower-cost COVID testing sites that we compiled here: bit.ly/3g18yCy. Share what you know about #COVID19 in #Oregon state prisons by emailing prisons@ojrc.info.
