Goetz said in 2011 he worked on the case of a German citizen Mr El Mazri who said he was "kidnapped" in Macedonia by the US military, which "has now been confirmed to be true."

The witness says through "complicated research," he found out the names of the CIA staff who had kidnapped El Masri, which led to the Munich state prosecutor issuing 13 arrest warrants.

Later, when he saw the Wikileaks diplomatic cables he saw the US government had put pressure on the German government not to issue the arrest warrants in America, warning of "serious consequences."

Goerz says that Wikileaks did publish some unredacted cables in 2011, but these had already been put online after the Guardian journalist's book revealed the Wilileaks password.
Says they were on a website called Cryptome.

Lewis asks if it was not true that Der Spiegel had condemned the release of the unredacted documents.
