Be sure of the specific use of the space before embarking on plan preparations as it must be consistent with the land use plan of the area.
Proper title for the land must be collected from Abuja Geographical Information System (AGIS).
Apply for building plan approval through The Department of Development Control.
Have handy, photocopies of the title documents...
And three(3) copies each of:
• Building plan(drawn to scale not <1:500)
• Floor plans(1:200) and Architectural drawings(1:100)
• Structural, Mechanical and Electric drawings.
As prepared by the respective professionals.
• Site Analysis report
And where necessary:
• Environmental impact Assessment Report (EIA) and
• Soil Test.
In addition:
Both the approved building plan and development permit must be kept on site, mostly for officers carrying out routine inspection.
Your construction site must have a registered professional(Structural Engineer or Builder or Architect) on site during works, OR😁
