Clipper Mills, Challenge, Forbestown, Robinson Mill - all areas of concern if fire continues to spot. Not easy area to work in. Blue sky = air attack, so retardant & water was dropped.

Cold front moved through, which helped move smoke to east. Bringing higher humidity (good!). Tonight winds will settle down and winds won't be as strong as expected. Friday "a good day" "cooler."

Friday we will see smoke coming from August Complex across the area. Don't be alarmed. It's not from North Complex.
Saturday will be quiet day, too. Next week should be decent, too. 👍 No big winds!!

Dr. Bob, County Public Health Officer, urging that people should not try to live on properties destroyed by fire due to the hazardous living conditions. County is working on a process to support housing options.

Sheriff is working with Alameda Sheriff's to use drones to map fire impacted areas. Tomorrow a link will be available for people to view that map to see damage/destroyed properties.

9/9 three people were located in area of Greystone Ln & Coyote Rd in Berry Creek
Other two were identified the other day

Susan Zerres (sp) is the third person. They were all aware of fire, packed to evacuate, and heard fire was 51% contained (it wasn't) and chose to stay. Sadly they all died in the fire on the same property.

There was a bear rescued in this fire. There is no update on the bear's condition. They are finding out. "Our own Smoky the bear."
