The most memorable moments in the #AssangeCase hearing for this week cannot be summarized in one tweet, so I will start this thread by highlighting the "super relevant" question by the prosecution:
"Would it be illegal for a journalist to help someone break into the White House?"

We also found out that Mr. Kromberg admits that the US government does not have any evidence of serious harm caused to any individual by the @wikileaks publications, yet the prosecution continues to mislead the court and the witnesses saying they do.
#AssangeCase

The prosecution quoted from @davidleighx's book where that #Assange allegedly said at a dinner that "informants deserve to die", but they stopped John Goetz, who was present at the dinner & who testified and submitted a testimony in writing from saying that this never happened.

The prosecution and the Judge also managed to avoid the court hearing the testimony of Khalid El-Masri who would have testified that he was kidnapped, tortured & sodomized by the @CIA, and it was only because of a @wikileaks' cable that the ECHR rulled he was a victim of the @CIA

Several witnesses talked about @wikileaks' strong harm minimization process and that no document put people in serious harm. This is consistent with Pentagon's Robert Carr's testimony on the @xychelsea case that they could not find a single person harmed by the publications

We also heard incessant hypothetical yes or no questions that were completely unrelated to the #AssangeCase by the prosecution to the expert witnesses. The defence witnesses did not fall in their traps.
The prosecution also tried to discredit every single witness that testified.

#JulianAssange's lawyer @suigenerisjen's testimony to court proved political motivation describing a visit from Rohrabacher sent by @realDonaldTrump to offer #Assange a deal: a pardon in exchange for the identity of the source of the DNC leaks. #Assange's principles are intact.

We heard that a farmer and his family including 7 children were captured by coalition forces, hands tied & executed by coalition forces. A warplane disappeared all evidence of the crime with a missile. The disappeared also include 1million dead by US forces & 35million displaced.

40 human rights organizations, free speech advocates and political observers who had been sent a virtual link by the CPS were prevented from overseeing the case by Judge Vanessa Baraitser with no explanation. 5 members of the public and 10 journalists are allowed in court.

The incessant technical issues in the court have seriously delayed the proceedings. With the second week of the hearing finished, only 1/4th of the expert defence witnesses have given testimony.

We heard from first amendment experts and scholars who told the court that this is the first time in US history that a journalist is charged under the espionage act for receiving and publishing classified information & the precedent of this case would mark the end of journalism.

Finally, #JulianAssange is still a political prisoner in the UK for publishing US war crimes. He has not committed a single crime in this country and continues to be tortured by the British State.
