In 1983,a young talented guitarist was kicked out of his own band. Just before the band was about to sign a record deal, he was kicked out. No warning,no discussion, they literally woke up him up one day handing him a bus ticket home. He has put in lot of effort but now ... 1/n

When he was about to taste the success, He is thrown out, had he missed his one and only shot? He couldn't control his tears on his way back home in the bus. By the time, bus reached his destination, he made up his mind. He decided to start his own band,

he is so determined that his new band would be so successful that his old band would forever regret their decision. He spent months focusing his band, recruiting far better musicians than his old band, wrote dozens of songs and practiced religiously. His anger fueled his ambition

Within a couple of years, his new band signed a record deal of their own, and year after year. Then no looking back. The guitarist name is Dave Mustaine & the new band he formed was legendry heavy-metal band #Megadeth. It went onto sell over 25 million albums and went world tour

Today Mustaine is considered one of most brilliant and influential musicians in the history of heavy-metal music. He went onto become a millionaire with a lot more fame and money.

Unfortunately, the band he was kicked out of was Metallica, which sold over 180 million albums worldwide. The success they achieved was much more than Dave Mustaine, even today #Metallica is considered by many to be one of the greatest rock bands of all time.

Because of this, in a interview in 2003, a tearful Mustaine admitted that he still consider himself a failure, because his band is still not as popular as Metallica. Despite all that he achieved, in his mind he would always be the guy who got kicked out of Metallica.

This is the problem with most of us, we always measure our success in relative with others. We compare our salary with others, we compare our #trading profits with others, instead of enjoying what we achieved.

Dave considered his success metric as "Be more popular than Metallica" instead of just become popular. Never do this. Do not measure your success/failure based on others.
