According to the Coast Guard, the military authorities are engaged in a search operation with 16 ships and 4 aircraft on the same day despite North Korea's opposition. It mobilized 13 ships including 4 500t class ships, 3 300t class ships, and 6 small ships and 2 aircraft.

A military official explained that "there are dozens of Chinese fishing boats operating near the NLL," and explained that naval vessels put into the water are also controlling Chinese fishing boats.
