Covering #Iran & #MidEast, especially what MSM won't Have a passion for exposing Tehran apologists/lobbyists

THREAD

1)
While Caitlin Johnstone (@caitoz) describes herself as a “journalist,” some research shows she parrots the talking points of #Iran’s regime & is quite fond of dictators.

Let's dig in.

2)
Johnstone is angry over President Trump’s decision to eliminate the world’s leading terrorist, Qassem Soleimani & criticized Trump by claiming he had “no legitimate reason” to have Soleimani killed.

Soleimani destroyed the lives of millions of people with his militias.

3)
Johnstone also pushes the talking of Trump seeking to launch war with Iran, heard many times from @JZarif.

4)
Johnstone is a fan of Obama’s Iran nuclear deal that provided the regime access to $150 billion in credit & $1.8 billion in cash.

Even John Kerry said the money was used to support terrorism.

5)
Johnstone also claims that Obama gave back Iran’s own money.
This is another regime talking point pushed especially by its lobbyists.

However, the "United States was under no obligation to pay Iran in the summer of 2016, or ever."

6)
Notice how Johnstone also parrots Zarif’s talking point on accusing the U.S. of “economic warfare” against Iran’s regime.

Coincidence? I think not.

7)
Johnstone also parrots Iran’s talking points about U.S. sanctions targeting civilians.

However, she won’t tell you anything about the corrupt nature of Iran’s regime.

8)
Don’t be surprised about Johnstone pushing Iran’s talking points.

She also quotes @tparsi, the known & disgraced #Iran lobbyists in the U.S.

9)
Johnstone is also against the new Middle East peace initiative, another case of parroting Iran’s talking points. In another tweet she shows her strong advocacy of terror groups Hezbollah, Hamas & the Houthis.

All backed by Iran.

Coincidence? I think not.

10)
And when U.S. President Donald Trump responded to Iran’s threats to assassinate an American ambassador, Johnstone again took Iran’s side.

Her “professional” terminology is also quite telling.

11)
Johnstone rushed to Iran's support when Twitter suspended approximately 130 regime-associated accounts for “attempting to disrupt the public conversation during the first 2020 US Presidential Debate.”

Iran has a history of using fake Twitter accounts.

12)
L—Johnstone even believes Iran’s regime has “every right to influence US political discourse.”

R—Johnstone also sheds tears for a very interesting list of regimes: China – Russia – Iran – Maduro – Assad

13)
Johnstone is also very sensitive when Iran’s regime is accused of supporting the Assad killing machine in Syria.

Or any criticism of Iran & Assad’s human rights abuses.

This is quite telling about Johnstone.

14)
Why did I write about Johnstone?

I had never heard of her & yet I noticed she recently accused me of being a “fake persona,” another talking point of Iran’s regime & its network of apologists/lobbyists.

Of course, they refuse to argue the facts I raise & just publish lies.

15)
For those interested, I easily debunked the lies raised against me and explained the nature of my work in this piece I wrote in a blog some time ago.

And thanks for reading this thread!
