Here's my story ⬇️ I worked in a preschool in 🇸🇪, masks were a taboo that no one dared to talk about. When I quit & said I didn't wanna put my health at risk anymore w/o 😷 my boss said "I understand, if you're scared of diseases this is no place for you"
This is the story of a preschool teacher in risk group & with a husband also in risk group, who is being threatened with being fired because she refuses to work without a mask ⬇️
Here is a municipality in Sweden (Halmstad Kommun) which tried to forbid masks in schools - especially for teachers. They said it might create panic if some ppl used masks. They said "just like ppl don't smoke during work hours, they won't wear masks"
This municipality later backed off from this outrageous decision & now says that "people who are worried about Covid can wear masks but need to use them correctly so they don't risk other people getting infected" (????) IT'S MADNESS IN HERE! They think masks are the enemy
Here's the story of a family of a Ikea worker who wasn't allowed to wear a mask for most of the pandemic & got infected with Covid19, spreading it to his whole family including his wife who already suffered from #LongCovid ⬇️
I ask all journalists to take a look at this thread about people who are discouraged or even forbidden to #WearAMask at work in Sweden ⬆️ This is unacceptable & we might not have power to change it but we sure as hell will make noise about it @BBCBreaking @NRKno @el_pais @CNN
@EJBourke please take a look at this situation in Sweden ⬆️ People are being forbidden to wear a mask at work & need the world to know. Please, if there is any way you can report about this in your country, let us know & we'll be happy to talk to you about it
@ScalaSchreiber @sofius @A_Sokolnicki if there is any way you can report about this ⬆️, please do. It's not enough that @GoteborgsPosten reports about the outrageous situations of masks being forbidden, we need the bigger media outlets to talk about it as well!
@StefaniaBattis4 people are STILL being forbidden to wear masks at work in Sweden, there are people being treatened with being fired because they refuse to work without a mask. If there is any way you can report about this situation, it would be great, it's really needed!
