#13 - Rondale Moore, WR, Purdue
5' 7" and only 181 pounds, but can squat 600lbs. That about sums it up. Moore has impressed since the moment he stepped on the college field, will that success translate to the NFL? ⬇️
His first career touchdown, Moore is more than a gadget player, he's a WR. He runs a nice crossing route here into open space and catches the ball in a hard spot. His hands look good here & overall, though he does have some concentration drops where he moves too quick.
One of the most electric playmakers to get on the field, Moore is always a threat to take a play to the house. Used often on sweeps and screens, the Purdue offense centered around getting Moore the ball. He can outrun just about anybody on the defense.
Against a good Ohio State defense, Moore shows why arm tackles don't work against a guy who squats 600lbs. Don't underestimate what Moore can do, there's been too many defenders who have already made that mistake. Moore runs with power once he gets the ball in his hands.
There's been talk about Moore being played out of the backfield in the #NFL, and you can see why that would work. Get Moore the ball in open space and he can make anything happen. His power and speed combination is rare for any kind of player. Just get him the ball.
Sometimes he has some drops because he gets moving before the ball is secure, but when it works... His transition out of the catch into running down the field is so seamless. Whether out wide or in the backfield, Moore is going to catch a lot of passes.
Moore is being heavily underestimated in this class, he's a top 5 WR because of his ability to consistently make plays. You can't teach that. A team will need to manufacture some touches at first, but it's absolutely worth it. I love the #FantasyFootball upside for Moore.
