Mauritius is opening so here's a thread of some of my favourite beaches ππββοΈβ΅
RT, spread joy, get tourism industry back on its feet ππͺπ½
Grand Baie up on the north coast. Sand, sea, boats π
Calodyne. Very coastal village vibe. Super peaceful. I love it.
Mont Choisy. We're still on the north coast, where most of the best beaches are imho*
*It's a heated topic in Mauritius π
Albion. On the west coast. Not the best place to swim perhaps, but looks gorgeous. (And only 15min drive from where I live π¬)
Flic en flac. You'll find me here πββοΈ 3-4 days a week.
La Preneuse. Or where the sea is always warm.
Case Noyale. Not a beach. But it's my favourite coastal village. And kids from the village are always up for a chat while they show off their tree dangling skills haha.
La Gaulette. Popular spot as you can see.
Le Morne, down on the south west coast. The public beach is usually teeming with people. But mix with the locals on the less hectic south-most side.
Near Baie du Cap in the south. Not a beach but a pilgrimage site for tourists. And you can see why!
Blue Bay πππ 10min drive from the airport, just saying. Also site of a large marine park so bring your snorkeling gear.
Belle Mare. East coast. The longest beach in Mauritius. Two kilometres of sand, sea and happiness.
Pereybere!!! My favourite place on earth. It is just the best, man. It is just the best π
Le Bouchon. At sunset.
Γle d'Ambre, one of the any islets around mainland Mauritius.
