Trying to explain to #notMyCat that he just needs to talk to #alsoNotMyCat and say that he's flattered, but would prefer just to be friends.
I know, kid. But some of us just can't help being gorgeous. It's just a burden we have to bear. Even if all we really want out of life is snacks and warm duvets.
It's all just part of growing up.
You'll get used to it.
Christ. Whilst I respect his emotional anguish. This is worse than an episode of Dawson's Creek.
I can't say that to him of course.
"Have you seen Max anywhere?"
He's upstairs in the bedroom, girl. But I think he's feeling a bit fragile.

Very much not dreaming of girl kitties. Probably dreamies. Or sea meat.
In seriousness, I don't think Max dislikes her. He's just VERY MUCH a cat of routine.
And since he chased most of the other male cats out of his own garden and ours, I think he's got used to the nice little prowl -> snacks -> snooze -> prowl life he's built up for himself.
She's disrupting his routine, but not in a way that he knows how to react to. Because she's not trying to take his territory over, she just seems happy to be a part of it.
And he is (literally) not equipped to deal with that.
It's a bit of a conundrum. Because we're 99% convinced she's a stray or lost. She hasn't been chipped and she's clearly underfed and not had the chop.
We're trying to build her confidence up so we can get her to a kitty shelter or something.
But try explaining that to Max...
It doesn't help that she is SUPER wary around people. Not just normal "oi. personal space" kitty wary, but 'DON'T HURT ME' wary.
If she's NOT a stray, then I do worry she's not had a nice life so far.
No he's gone out now. We don't know where.
