"Dr, You are a Sikh, aight? You belong to a warrior race"

I hear this often now, from patients to strangers here.
And whenever anyone says this to me here, I just close my eyes and bow my head to our predecessors, who gave us this great identity.

#Turban is more than a pride.

My friend Dr Kawaljit Singh, a Sydney based Geriatrician, was amazed when a caucasian stranger came to him and said THANKS.
That stranger told him that his late father fought WW II along with a Sikh Regiment and his life was saved by gallant turbaned comrades……1/2

This incident happened somewhere in 2005/2006 and that old stranger further told that it has been sort of tradition in his family since then to say thanks to any Sikh they come across.
It was requested by their father, who later migrated to Australia, and became a businessman

A friend and an army reservist, Officer Cadet Satbir Singh Kahlon, has been hailed as the poster boy of diversity in the Australian Army.
