In Georgia, we’ve got draft maps from the state Democratic caucus, but no draft maps from the state Republican caucus, with the special session on redistricting starting tomorrow.

The State Senate draft map gets an A, with an A in partisan fairness and Cs in competitiveness and geographic features.

The map includes 3 competitive districts and 16 districts with a BVAP of over 45%.

The State House map receives a B overall, with an F in competitiveness and a C in geographic features. Our analysis shows that this map advantages incumbents, which contributes to its lower grades - this map receives only a B in partisan fairness.

The map has 8 competitive districts, out of 180 total districts. As always, our report card also breaks down the minority composition of each district. You can access the full Report Card here for further info: gerrymander.princeton.edu/redistricting-…

Republicans in Georgia released a draft congressional map, available here: gerrymander.princeton.edu/redistricting-…
We hope to see them release their state legislative drafts, too.
