Director-General: The states parties will vote during CSP-26 on who will serve as the Director-General of the OPCW for the next four years. At the 98th Executive Council session, a decision to recommend H.E. Fernando Arias for a second term was passed. (4/7)

Navalny Poisoning: During the 98th EC, 45 states parties asked Russia a series of questions about how it has responded to/investigated the #Navalny poisoning. Russia replied with its own set of questions. Neither side was satisfied w/ answers provided. Next steps TBD. (5/7)

Syria: Syria’s rights and privileges under the CWC were suspended during CSP-25. These rights will be reinstated if Syria addresses inconsistencies in its stockpile declaration & declares all CW/CW-related facilities. States parties will likely be briefed on any updates. (6/7)
