#Mpls man with a violent history, Richard Edwin Bullock, now 48, is charged with attempted murder and several other charges for allegedly setting his girlfriend on fire in 2019 inside and RV in north Minneapolis, and subsequently threatening to kill a witness and her family.
.

Bullock has been incarcerated in jail on $750,000 bail since his arrest shortly after the incident in Sept. 2019 while the case proceeded.
Last fall, Bullock pleaded not guilty to all charges and remained in custody.
.

Earlier this month, Bullock was offered a plea deal by the Hennepin County prosecutor in this case, Stuart Evan Shapiro (per case info).
Bullock would plead to 1st and 2nd degree assault.
The deal would dismiss attempted murder and the other charges.
.
4/
Under the deal, Bullock would be sentenced to 90 + 36 months on the two counts, to be served concurrently (at the same time).
MN only requires offenders to serve 2/3s of sentence incarcerated. So, with credit for time in jail, the deal would leave Bullock free in 2.7 years.
.
5/
The victim, who is permanently disfigured, has spoken out publicly in opposition to the plea deal.
Bullock is scheduled for sentencing on Monday, Jan. 3, 2022, by Judge Daniel C. Moreno.
Judge Moreno has the opportunity to deny the plea agreement at sentencing.
