One of the most important and popular names in one piece is

"" SHANKS ""

Many of you might have wondered what is this name ' Shanks ' actually means , Right ?

So Lets move all the way back to start of onepiece

Now just remember what LUFFY was presented by shanks and his crew :--

"" ANCHOR ""

So what does an anchor has to do with shanks ?

Once oda said that sometimes it takes him days to decide a Name for characters

You will find that what a genius is Oda for using this name

Lets take a look at these pics of all parts in Anchor

You will find that , there is a special and the main part that holds and connects the whole structure , is known as " SHANK "

Shank has major roles like providing direction and balance to anchor

Direction? Balance ? 🤔

Our Shanks is playing the exact same role as the shank

Shanks gave the direction to Luffy (anchor) to become the pirate

Then Balance

We have seen multiple times how Shanks is providing balance to the pirate world and how he is always there to calm and control the things

First we saw him wanting to stop ace and whitebeard.

Then he also stoped kaido

But why ?

Because if kaido had come to marineford the destruction of navy was 100% confirmed

As BB , Kaido , WB together 👀

A world without navy can be the most terrifying situation

There's a another part connected to shanks

Look , the final part of Anchor is known as " CROWN "

In an anchor Shank determines where the Crown will move

Could it be....

Now lets come to the legendary scar on his eye

Just notice how shanks didn't had the mark until Gol D Roger abandoned the crew

Now see chapter 0 and chapter 343 where we saw moments of shanks after leaving the crew but his eye was never shown by oda

But why oda did that ?

Because if he had shown that mark it would had be confirmed that it happened after the crew was abandoned and between that 1 year till the Roger's death

So what happened between that certain year ?

It was a incident where blackbeard stole a certain fruit from shanks

Yes....

When you notice there's certain pattern in shanks giving devil fruits to the people related to him

He gave Buggy bara bara no mi

He gave Luffy gomu gomu no mi

And he also gave BB or rather BB stole it from Shanks and while giving him that eye scar

And Its a zoan type fruit

Now what shanks lineage is ?

Shanks is a celestial and was adopted by Roger while God Valley incident and his partner Buggy is a ' ' D '

But i will not talk much about buggy because ➡️ @TypicalJAnt is already doing a theory on him , so be sure you check out his theory

To know more lets hear the talks of shanks and buggy

But as some people say that shanks is Rocks d xebecs son , so why its funny ? Shouldn't it be obvious ?

Its weird because he is a celestial dragon

Now look at some major words from Oden

" Celestial " and " D " are the mortal enemies

Even they both said that they will meet as enemies someday in the future

This further can be seen as Gorosie says that Shanks is not a man to cause trouble

And then Ghandi Gorosie said that its always these D's who are the problem

Shanks is not entirely with WG as lucky roo literally said that they stole the fruit from Enemy

Shanks means balance

So now , we know shanks is a man who want the balance and he don't want these unnecessary deaths

As while taking to WB he suggest that he does not like this reckless era

So who could his mortal enemy be

Its none other than

" MONKEY D DRAGON "

Now i will show you a major foreshadowing done by Goda about 20 years ago

Lets go back on the chapter 96 , where Mihawk met shanks

And the first words shanks said were that " He is in very bad mood " and his crew was tensed

So what could have made shanks angry ?

Look here , if we move a little back in chapter. You will see that on the same day Nami was reading a news " World is in turmoil and there another Coup D'etat in villa"

It was the same news that made shanks so angry on that day

It was further confirmed that it was a work of RA

Ever wondered what sabo was doing at luffy's execution ?

I think you got the answer now

Even oda himself told that villa is the same NOLAND'S visited 400 yrs ago

It is not some major place but it is a representation of the world situation and the future events

Monkey d dragon want war which is exactly what shanks is against

So where these Mortal Enemies will meet ?

It is about time and the place is
' WANO '

I already had a theory about how dragon might come to wano and all his connections , which i will add at end of this thread

In the recent JF message , Oda hinted on shanks coming to wano and how he can meet luffy before the release of film RED

At marineford shanks refused to meet luffy but after seeing a yanko bounty of luffy, he himself told that it the time for him to meet luffy

But how and in what way will he be making his move ?

For that lets get to Reverie

Shanks had the meeting with the Gorosie during the reverie and he talked about a " Certain pirate "

Who is that certain pirate you ask ?

That is a theory of its own 😌 and i will do that later

Now look what Gorosie were talking about just after having a meeting with shanks

THE BALANCE OF THE WORLD CANNOT BE MAINTAINED FOREVER

So where that is getting disturbed ?

And who is the one , whose whole work is to keep balance ?

SHANKS

The WG Fleets are heading towards wano , to capture and take take control over it

Oda in the latest SBS stated that Shanks now has large fleet under his control

The one leading those WG fleet is

' AKAGAMI NO SHANKS '

Dragon wants Wano too

So if shanks and dragon clashes.

What our luffy will do and what side he will choose ?
