When I saw these guys on my Birding walk, ar first glance I thought it was the usual Grey Treepie because of the size and tail( It is dark and wet in the mornings here,in that Palm Grove in particular), then I heard the calls!

This bird species is listed in the ref books on the Birds of the subcontinent, as winter visitors to the mountains of North India , There has been a recent report(2018) of sightings from Shey,ladakh, but these pics are from Italy

It is a testament to the fact that these birds are THE disappearing 'common birds' from newsreports,that in the past 15+ years of recording birds on camera this is the first time I have a record shot of this species!
