New day, new thread with updates about Russian military invasion in Ukraine.
Today would be the 5th day of the war.
There are tons of news on Twitter already, but I feel compelled to share the most notable updates that I'm seeing in Ukrainian news outlets.

Today Ukrainian delegation will be having negotiations with the Russians.
They'll meet at Belarussian border. (Russians are already there waiting, Ukrainians are on the way.)
Somehow I'm pretty sure that Russians will have some utterly ridiculous demands.
But we'll see...
One of the officials in Ukrainian delegation is Davyd Arakhamia, who I happen to know personally.
(He co-founded TemplateMonster, where I used to work at some point.)
The guy is super smart and I have zero doubts in his negotiation skills. 💪

My absolute favourite boxer @VasylLomachenko has joined the territorial defence forces in his hometown Bilhorod-Dnistrovs'kyi.
Did you see any world-class athletes or celebrities among Russian invaders? I didn't.
This is my hometown Mykolaiv.
According to the official information by local police this looter has "acidentally" took his pants off and taped himself to a pillar.
These things can happen if you try to loot during a war ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

And Russian propaganda will keep telling its people that there are no deaths among Russian military.

There's some information circulating in the news that Ukrainians in Russia are visited by the police and being interrogated.
It seems like Putin is afraid that Ukrainian people in Russia may stir the pot, so he's trying to intimidate them.

Somehow my today's thread started quite optimistically.
And while Ukraine IS quite successfull in resisting the russian aggression, things are not all well and shiny.
This massive rocket attack is happening in Kherson region, which is just ~70km away from my own hometown:

Meanwhile, the city of Kharkiv is being shelled from "BM-21 Grad" rocket launchers.
My friend says it's a residential area 😰

It drives me mad that some egotistic 70-year old grandpa can cause so much death and destruction.

The negotiations between Ukraine and Russia just ended.
The results haven't been announced yet.

Oh man... looks like the negotiantions aren't over yet.
The third round is about to begin.
Hope our guys have enough mental toughness and clarity to create a proper opposition. ✊
The negotiations ended..
But no agreements were made.
Both delegations are now returning to their HQs to thoroughly analyze the terms and they will be back for another round of negotiations.
