This is the splendid lingam, worshipped by Lord Sri Rama. Agastya Maharshi worshipped this Lingam, given to him by Varada Muni. It was later handed over to Sri Matha by Sri Adi Shankaracharya. #Mahashivratri

Lingam, in Hinduism, is a votary object that symbolizes lord Shiva & is revered as an emblem of generative power. The image below is of Chandramauleshwar Lingam worshipped by Sri Rama, Rishi Agasthya and Jagadguru Sri Adi Shankarachaya!

The sixteenth scar is Akshaya; unending and inexhaustible. That is ever-present in the head of lord Shiva. The lunar-line is clearly, naturally, in the head of Chandramauleshwar. So it is the only appropriate Chandramauleshwar lingam in the world. #Mahashivratri

Chandramauleshwara Linga of Sri Ramachandrapura Matha, where Mauli means 'absolute' position. The presence of lunar-scar is the identity of real Chandramauleshwar . The fifteen scars of the Moon have 'Vriddhi and Kshaya'.  #Mahashivratri

There is the recession of
Auspicious Athmalinga on the back of the Chandramauleshwar lingam.

It resembles the innate relation of Srimatha and Sri Kshetra Gokarna Mahabaleshwara.

The design of entire Indian map during Rama's reign, triangles within triangles interconnected,  in the centre can be seen on the east side of the lingam. The most subtle point. The point is Shiva himself. The triangle is the representation of Goddess Devi. #Mahashivratri

One of the many special features of the lingam is the difference in the lunar luminosity during the Shukla Paksha and Krishna Paksha.  The lingam has been  worshipped by the thirty-six Yativarenyas of the sole aboriginal lineage of Adiguru Shankaracharya. #MahaShivRatri2022
