4/25 Ships in an inconspicuous brown box with no labels, logos, or #Bitcoin related indicators. Simply apply the included rubber feet, plug an Ethernet cable into your router or switch, and plug in the power adaptor. Initialization starts automatically & takes ~10-minutes.

Find the Tanto local IP address from a PC on the same network & enter it in your web browser. Follow the prompts to note your root credentials and create a password for your user credentials.

6/25 Several services will automatically initialize, once complete navigate to the dashboard. The blockchain download has commenced and will take up to 3-days to complete. Your Tanto is getting all the transactions in the #Bitcoin blockchain from other nodes on the network.

7/25 Once finished, it needs to be indexed so it's searchable. The indexing process starts automatically, can take 10-24 hours. If the status says 0% in the dashboard, just check the logs from the left-hand side menu, you'll see chunks of 2,000 blocks getting indexed.

8/25 Once Indexer is at 100%, click on "manage" in the lower left-hand corner of the Dojo window, this will bring up the QR codes needed to connect @SamouraiWallet & @BitcoinExplorer. Toggle the "display values" switch to make them legible.

9/25 You can also log into your @RoninDojoNode User Interface (UI) from your mobile device with the Tor browser. Click on "manage" in the lower left-hand corner of the RoninDojo window to display that QR code. Use the same user credentials as the PC web interface.

10/25 You can even copy/paste the @BitcoinExplorer .onion URL & password from the mobile @RoninDojoNode UI and then you have a full fledged mobile block explorer on your mobile device, getting it's blockchain data from your own node connected over Tor.

11/25 For Android users, download the @SamouraiWallet app via direct .apk, F-Droid repo, or Google Play Store. samouraiwallet.com/download

Once installed, select "mainnet".

12/25 Follow the introductory in-app guidance. Select the directory for your encrypted wallet file then grant system access. Then toggle on Tor.

13/25 Then toggle on the option to connect to your own Dojo and grant camera access then scan the QR code displayed in your @RoninDojoNode UI. Create new wallet or import existing wallet. Use a strong passphrase.

14/25 It's a good idea to use the backup .pdf template at the least samouraiwallet.com/recovery

Or for more robust backup storage, use your included RoninSteel.

Never share these 12 seed words, write them down in order, keep them secure. Double check your passphrase, create a PIN.

16/25 With your Tanto node setup & your wallet installed/connected/backed up, you can start using the Whirlpool CoinJoin implementation. This will break deterministic links to tx history & afford you forward looking anonymity. #bitcoin remains in your sole control at all times.

17/25 But wait, it gets better. You can install a Whirlpool GUI on your PC, connect it with your @RoninDojoNode and @SamouraiWallet then your UTXOs can continue re-mixing 24/7 FOR FREE even when you close your mobile app :)

18/25 Open an SSH session to your Tanto using the same user login credentials as the web interface. Navigate to Samourai Toolkit>Whirlpool>Start - to initialize Whirlpool.

19/25 Then go back to the main menu and navigate to Credentials>Whirlpool - and use "Ctrl+Shift+c" to copy that .onion URL.

Open the Whirlpool application you installed on your PC and paste that URL where is says "CLI address".

20/25 From @SamouraiWallet click the 3-dot menu in the upper right-hand corner, select Settings>Transactions>Pair to Whirlpool GUI. From the Whirlpool GUI, use your web cam to scan the QR code that pops up on your mobile. Then click on Initialize GUI on your PC. Enter passphrase.

21/25 Initialize mixes from mobile by selecting the blue "+" sign>Whirlpool logo> then Whirlpool logo on the next screen too. Then select "Mix UTXOs", select the ones you want from your deposit wallet UTXO list, then hit "next".

22/25 Select the cycle priority, pool size, and hit "review cycle details". If everything looks good then hit "begin cycle".

23/25 Now you can close your mobile app and carry on with your day, meanwhile, your UTXOs will be re-mixing for free using your PC Whirlpool GUI and Tanto node. You'll see the mixing progress in your GUI. You can generate deposit addresses & set desired # of mixes from there too.

24/25 With this kind of setup you are able to bring the power of a ZeroLink CoinJoin implementation with you in your pocket while communicating back to your own node at home over Tor. You can also connect with peers to make collaborative txs that preserve the anonymity gained.
