5. But we did. This wasn’t a war. In a war you have to fight or be conquered. Necessity. For your way of life.

This would harm but society would go on.

6. Covid policy risked the systems on which you depend and no one asked if it was sensible. Just saving covid lives won out.

7. The Irony the WHO has set about creating the greatest harm to people in history is quite something

8. You locked down in unison

9. You printed money in unison in the west

10. China kept the factory open somehow as the west stayed home. You got your products and PPE

11. The west unlocks. Govt support withdraws.

More money exists and global output isn’t more, so prices rise. Too much money chasing too few…

12. Activity suppression was not understood

Shipping costs have exploded. As suddenly businesses restart and must have what they need

Can’t run a business without the raw materials. Can’t sell the products unless they reach consumers.

It’s an auction and how do you stop it?

Anyone that stopped output (the little guys and not global ones who kept going) are going to bid to survive.

13. The same is true of any commodity. The prospect of shortage will now uniquely create explosive price inflation
