It’s a beautiful Monday, so a great time for an entry to #BatmanvSuperman references to the DC lore. We get to the Aftermath scene that combines 3 mini scenes. Each one with its own interesting details in the 🧵 below! #RestoreTheSnyderVerse #BvSMondayMood
First, we get to Superman helping firefighters with injured people after the Capitol bombing. Despite his help, firefighters are unsure of Superman’s role and dismiss his help.
Curiously, in Grant Morrison’s Action Comics run during the New 52 Superman not only helps firefighters but becomes one of them with a new secret identity (Johnny Clark). Due to his good record with them, some colleagues also distrust him in that comic (AC #11, 2011).
Then, we get to a very fashionable Alfred chopping up wood outside the glass house. No reference here, but a small detail I found this time is him picking up a check sent to Bruce with the Capitol on fire. Bruce really missed out on a clear message to save lots of people.
And in the last mini scene of the 3 we get to LexCorp with Lex arriving to find out Batman has taken the Kryptonite.
This scene contains a fan favorite homage, with a white-eyed Batman doing a very similar landing to the Batman Animated Series intro from the 90s. Such a cool reference to finish the thread on a scene mostly cut from the theatrical version of BvS. #RestoreTheSnyderVerse
Adding this one to here that I really like. Great find by @uotunnson!
