🧵So, since Sy transmigrated into Sqq's body, Shen Jiu has been hanging out in the back of his head, watching it all happen.
Ofc, he was angry at first, raging and trying to get control over his body again, to no avail.

Eventually resigned to his fate, he's been watching things and hearing Sy's thoughts. What a dumbass, he thought at first. But you can't spend more than five years in someone's head without getting at least used to them.

And Sj would never admit it but he's grown fond of him by now. Then Huayue City happens, Sy gets yeeted into the plant body and Sj gets control over his own body back.
Lbh was just starting to realize Shizun's dead, when Sqq's eyes open again.

But, Shizun's different? For one moment Binghe believes Sqq has reverted back to before the qi deviation. Alas, Sj has different plans. He calls together a sect meeting and finally gets to yell at Yqy about not noticing Sqq has been an imposter for years.

He also takes the opportunity to finally destroy all of Binghe's already shaky confidence, using all that knowledge about his weaknesses he gained through his years of watching. Ensuring that Binghe will let Sj search for Sy in peace.

Sqh is easy to intimidate and Sj discovers the location of the plant body soon enough. With the help of an actual peak lord, Sy is getting his comeback much sooner. Imagine his surprise at waking up and seeing his own face hovering above him.

It's the og goods! Shockingly, the scum villain may be acerbic, but he also bundles Sy up in a robe and quickly brings him to Qing Jing peak. Over the next few weeks, all of Cang Qiong finds out the whole truth and Sy is, with Sj's insistence reinstated as second peak lord.

The thing about jiuyuan is that they make up for each other's weaknesses beautifully. Sj tells Sy the blunt truth, rips his rose-coloured glasses off and defends him and his interests. Sy softens all of Sj's sharp edges and gives him all the affection. (QJ's mom and dad...)

Binghe is only allowed filial visits for tea under SJ's sharp eyes from now on. Coincidentally, Binghe realizes that Yqy is just as jealous and miserable as him. So he convinces him to join him in breaking jiuyuan up. Yqy hems and haws but agrees in the end.

*Insert montage of ...Bingqi's (?) increasingly ridiculous plans to win their respective crushes over*
Unsurprisingly, it doesn't do much else but make Sj increasingly possessive. How dare they try and take Sy away from him, he thinks. This is my idiot now.

You ever think that Lbh and Yqy would make a surprisingly good couple? Me neither. I do now, though. Yqy is just gagging for someone to take care of and love, especially if they're mean. And post-abyss Lbh is certainly not a nice person.

More so, he would never leave Lbh if he falls for him and he's certainly the 'I would sacrifice my life for you' type too. And a shared plan to break your crushes up is a surprisingly good catalyst for romance.
And well, then there's Tlj.

This all adds up in this whole climax, where Sj, Sy, Lbh and Yqy have to use their combined talents and skills to defeat Tlj once and for all. A lot of communication happens. I know, surprising for these four.

Sj finally gets the reason why Yqy didnt come for him all those years ago. Yqy tries to sacrifice himself to save Binghe in the fight and gets a kissie for that. Binghe finally gets a (half-assed) explanation for the abyss thing and a headpat.

Sy doesn't have any issues, ofc. He's just along for the ride. Except that he kinda maybe finds the scum villain hot?? How did that happen? He's not gay, is he?
(Sj has considered them married for months at this point. Sy will like it soon enough, he'll make sure of that.)

QJ disciple 1: So, how did Mom and Dad meet?
QJ disciple 2: Oh, Mom possessed Dad's body for a few years. But don't worry, he's got another body now. Just make sure he gets enough water and sunlight.
