It’s a new Monday, so time for a new entry to the #BatmanvSuperman references to the DC lore series. Today is the turn for Preparation Montage and Photograph scene in the thread below! #RestoreTheSnyderVerse #BvSMondayMood

Most of this one is going to revolve around Bruce training. Three important references. First, we have some to Detective Comics #33. One from the training itself and Bruce lifting weights.

But also, in that comic Bruce Wayne is a master scientist with black specialist glasses working on a green chemical. Interestingly, this specific comic has been already references several times in #BatmanvSuperman so this might not be a coincidence.

Then, we have a reference to Batman: War on Crime from Paul Dini and Alex Ross. Again, the homage comes from the similarity in Bruce training and lifting weights. Some panels are look very similar to shots from the movie.

Curiously, this comic has a famous panel where Bruce (as Batman) stops a young kid (whose parents were killed) from becoming an executioner (much like his parents’ murderer). In #BvS movie (in a way) is Superman that will play this role for Bruce.

The last reference from the training might be to Batman: Legends of the Dark Knight #16 and #17 where some shots resemble quite closely Bruce training in the comic.

This homage is also interesting as this run (called Venom) is about Bruce Wayne losing it after not being able to save a young girl. As a result, he starts taking pills giving him extra strength but he becomes addicted to them. Any parallel with #BvS might not be a coincidence.

Finally, we get a reference outside Bruce training, more related to what he’s looking at in the computer. In #BvS Lex Luthor knows everything about the metahumans. In Injustice: Gods Among Us #20 Luthor knows everything about Justice League members too!

And that’s a wrap for today’s scene. Remember if you like this thread or any previous ones, consider donating to the @afspnational Autumn Snyder Fund. Every small amount counts to raise awareness for this cause! supporting.afsp.org/index.cfm?fuse…
