Flow Bracketing! #gamedev #unrealengine #shader #gameart
Based on this, just converted to unreal material graph: shadertoy.com/view/NddcDr
Full graph:
This took me all morning because fighting with unreal engine's trig functions in material graph. Not outputting in the range/units I'd expect so it just took a lot of tinkering. But yeah. Probably going to turn this into a MF. Plug in whatever vectors you want to make things flow
The idea/hope here is to be able to paint a flowmap into vertex colours for water, and have nice ripples, with better support for swirling bits and without the obvious flowmap blending issues
The only thing missing is variable flow/panning speeds. Don't think that's really doable though :(
