1️⃣ What is $Kas ?

$Kas is the fastest and most scalable Level 1, instant confirmation transaction layer ever built on a proof-of-work engine.

Transactions sent to miners can be included immediately in the ledger, which is structured as a revolutionary blockDAG.

$Kas is based on the GhostDAG/PHANTOM protocol, a scalable generalization of Nakamoto Consensus.

Its design is faithful to the principles Satoshi embedded into Bitcoin proof of work mining.

$Kas is unique in its ability to support high block rates while maintaining the level of security offered by proof-of-work environments.

Also #Kas current mainnet operates with 1 block per second.

Which I find impressive.

After the ongoing rust language rewrite, the core developers goal is to increase the number of blocks per second substantially.

The goal is to attract L2 development of smart contracts and #DeFi.

2️⃣ What problem does #kas solves ?

Traditional cryptocurrencies suffer from a security scalability Decentralized tradeoff.

To solve this tradeoff, #Kas consensus layer uses GhostDAG, a proof-of-work.

The founder is Yonatan Sompolinsky , Postdoc CS at Harvard University on the MEV Research Team.

Yonatan’s 2013 paper on Ghost protocol is cited in the #Ethereum Whitepaper.

$Kas core developers and contributors, all of whom contributed immensely to the implementation of the network include:

Shai Wyborski – Cryptography Researcher and Developer
Michael Sutton – Cryptography Researcher and Development

4️⃣ My closing thoughts on $Kas #Kas

Is this project full of hype ? This maybe way too early to say for @Kaspa.

However I do admire their unique approach t solving matters in this space.

In the near future Ill review $Kas again to see how far they have come.
