Months after Russia invaded Ukraine in 2014, RMT leader Eddie Dempsey urges people to back "the anti-fascist resistance", that is, Putin's militias, against "the far right regime in Kyiv" and NATO.

His ribbon has become a symbol of Putin's aggression, worn by Putin himself. 1/6

The meeting was organised by "Solidarity with the Antifascist Resistance in Ukraine" (SARU), a grouping of some of the nastiest of the UK far left.

This cartoon by the antisemite Latuff, posted on their Facebook account, sums SARU up: the Ukrainian Nazi snake versus Lenin. 2/6

In fact, Dempsey was so keen on SARU that he went to the launch meeting, where he lashed out at the "EU/US/British backed fascist Kiev junta" and called for "the neutralisation of British involvement in NATO military operations in Ukraine". 3/6

Alex Gordon, now the RMT's President, was on board too. Here he is, wearing his own Putinist ribbon, demonstrating with SARU outside the Ukrainian embassy in London, with an RMT banner for a backdrop. 4/6

See Gordon spell it out.

"Unequivocal support for the antifascist resistance in Ukraine."

Don't buy the "lies" of the BBC, Channel 4, and the papers about Ukraine.

What is to be done? "You have to polarise the argument." For Moscow, mind. 5/6

Steve Hedley, a sort of RMT thug's thug, was also enthusiastic. Backing Putin's vile crimes was an important cause for the RMT.

People who adore the RMT now remind me of the old line on real fascists, with a twist. "At least they make the trains not run at all." 6/6
