๐Ÿšจ๐Ÿšจ SCAM ALERT ๐Ÿšจ๐Ÿšจ

Part of being in crypto means learning how to spot scams like the one below.

@moonbirds is a great project which you can find on MetaPath. But ๐Ÿ‘‡ is a scam - even though it looks real.

How can we tell?

Here's 4 warnings you need to know ๐Ÿงต๐Ÿงต๐Ÿงต

1/

Starting at the top, the first hint is the name: there's a "_s" at the end. Most projects typically don't put underscores in the middle of their name. Some, like us, have it at the end - but not the middle.

So that's a little suspicious.

2/

Look at the website name. They misspell "birds" and put "birids" instead. No real project misspells a word in their website name - only scams.

Of course, not everyone speaks English so that might be hard to spot. So next there's a hint that *anyone* can easily see:

3/

Look at the likes vs retweets.

There are only 12 likes but 1,000s of retweets. Look at almost any other tweet on Twitter, and you'll see there are always more likes than retweets. If you see this, it's ๐Ÿ’ฏ a scam.

4/

Another clear giveaway is they turned off their comments.

We'll let you into a marketing secret: when we're doing a giveaway, we want as many people as possible to know. All real projects will leave their comments to get more attention. Turning it off is ๐Ÿšฉ๐Ÿšฉ๐Ÿšฉ

5/

Want to make sure you are getting the real project?

๐Ÿ‘‰ Just go to paths.finance!

We list real projects from major #NFT marketplaces and 100s of tokens from all major blockchains. It's the easiest, safest way to explore the #Metaverse

6/

Finally, what can you do if you see a scam?

If you see a scam, please take a moment to report on it. Click on the 3 dots in the corning and hit report tweet. This will help keep others safe.

We are sure the real @moonbirds would especially appreciate it!
