Bieg Piastow is organized in cross country ski resort in Jakuszyce in Jizera Mountains in Lowers Silesia. Jakuszyce is a part of Szklarska Poreba – one of the most popular tourists spots in south-western part of Poland.
The best of Bieg Piastow are beatiful, natural tracks, with downhills and uphills, in forest of Jizera Mountains – train & start here is an invaluable lesson on nature, a chance to meet rare fauna and flora. It is a unforgettable adventure, not only for sport reasons #VisitPoland
The first Bieg Piastów race took place in 1976. The main distance was planned for 20 km but in fact it was something like 15 km around the Cicha Rownia. 518 people took part in the first race but only 261 completed it. Stanisław Michoń won the first race 🏆 #PolishHistory
While the original Bieg Piastów is a wintertime event, there is now a summertime race as well taking place in the Iser Mountains (Góry Izerskie). With its generous topography it's an ideal area for outdoors during all seasons.
