Twitter is the most valuable source of information for #web3 community.

If you do not use the ADVANCED SEARCH feature on Twitter, you do not use Twitter’s most powerful tool for searching for #crypto and #nft information.

🧵 on what advanced search is, how to use it and why?

2/
1⃣ What it is?

Twitter Advanced Search is a tool to tailor search results to specific Tweets containing precise information (defined by words, people, engagement, date ranges etc.) that are shown in your search feed.

3/
2⃣ Why to use it?

Twitter Advanced Search allows you:
➡️skip SPAM
➡️avoid bots
➡️avoid irrelevant tweets
➡️target information you need

4/
It simply allows you to save time by making your research process much more effective and precise. I am sharing useful tips on optimizing advanced search at paragraph 4⃣ of this thread.

5/
3⃣How to use it?

➡️Step.1 - Log in to twitter.com in the browser - it doesn't work in the mobile app
➡️Step.2 - Type anything in your Twitter search bar and press enter on your keyboard
➡️Step.3 - Click on “Advanced search” button on the right side of the window

6/
➡️Step.4 - Fill in relevant fields
➡️Step.5 - Click “Search” to see your results

7/
➡️Step.6 - 💣Bonus step: If you need the latest news in the reverse chronological order just click ”The latest”

8/
4⃣Tips

Here are some cases where advanced search prove to be helpful:
➡️A. your daily news intake
➡️B. development of marketing and go-to-market strategy for your project
➡️C. fundamental analysis of any #crypto, #nft, #web3 project
➡️D. searching for an nft #hiddengem

9/
Below useful tips to optimize your search:

✅ad.A.

💥 daily news intake - a 5-min routine of reviewing the latest news using advanced search at the beginning and the end of the day will enrich your knowledge and help you be updated like no other news source.

10/
In a short time you will get quality content you need (incl. facts, opinions, links). The time to content quality ratio is incomparable to any other source.

11/
If you do not wish to fill in advanced search filters by yourself, just type the below phrases to your Twitter search bar, search it, click the latest and review your results:

12/
➡️ "eth" -giveaway -follow -tag -rt -discord min_replies:3 min_faves:1500
➡️ "nft" -giveaway -follow -tag -rt -discord min_faves:500
➡️ "btc" -giveaway -follow -rt -tag -discord -NoLieWithBTC min_replies:10 min_faves:1000

13/
If you want to see tweets with less or more interactions, change the number of likes to whatever number that satisfies you. Customize the filters according to your needs.

14/
✅ad.B.

💥 strategy development - by using date ranges you can easily jump to the oldest tweets of established nft projects and look up how they pursued marketing strategy to build engagement. You may be surprised how useful it is when you work on business development

15/
✅Ad.C

💥 fundamental analysis - advanced search allows thoroughly vet projects with regard to the data available on Twitter. You can use all set of filters including engagement filters, data ranges and list of your trusted influencers (which is a subject for another thread)

16/
✅Ad.D.

💥 hiddengems - by using engagement filters in particular when big nft or crypto events are happening like #VeeCon, #nftnyc, #nftlondon etc. you will be able to weed out a massive amount of irrelevant tweets.

This is how I personally spotted a valuable project after VeeCon this year, which helped me make a few x's during this bear market.
