"Lan Zhan, Lan Zhan!"
LZ looks up from the butterfly he's currently working on to gift to his mother when he's back home. He may look too serious for a toddler, but his eyes instantly light up at the sight of his best friend.
"Wei Ying." Joy clear in his voice.
"Lan Zhan look!" WY says as he plops himself on the chair next to LZ's and holds out his tiny hand. In it, there's a flower that LZ has seen a couple of times but doesn't know it's name.
"Mama said you can make a wish with this!" WY continues.
At this, LZ responds with an "Oh", soft but full of wonder.
"Here!" WY takes LZ's hand and places the flower on it, he then takes his other hand and makes LZ hold the flower with both hands in front of him.
"You have to make a wish and then blow it, so the white things go flying!"
LZ gasps, "Like my butterfly?" He looks at WY who in turn, also seems to process the possibility and his smile becomes impossibly wider.
"Yes! Burerfly and white things fly high!" WY exclaims.
LZ looks at the flower again and then turns to WY. "Wei Ying wants the wish?"
"No! I found it for Lan Zhan! I carried it with me aaaaall the way just for you!" He says, clearly proud of himself.
LZ looks back at the flower still in his hands and smiles at it.
"Go on, make wish!" WY whispers loudly.
LZ doesn't take much time to think of one, so he breathes in and out, and whispers to the flower "I wish that Wei Ying and I can be together forever."
He then blows as muchas he can to make sure all the white little things fly away.
He hears WY giggle next to him. When LZ turns, he sees his best friend hiding his smile behind his hands. "Silly Lan Zhan, you don't need to wish that. I'll always be with you no mader what!"
LZ smiles at WY, "Just in case."

"A-Die! Baba! Look! Funny flower!"
LZ looks up from his computer, where he's been grading his student's homework. WY, who was sprawled on the sofa next to him, reading some horror book, also looks up before sitting up.
"Wow, well aren't you a lucky one, little radish!" WY says.
A-Yuan finally gets to his parents and LZ instantly puts his PC aside to carry A-Yuan up and place him on WY's lap.
"What is it?" A-Yuan asks.
"It's a wishing flower, bunny. You can make a wish with it." LZ explains.
A-Yuan gasps as he holds the flower in front of him, his eyes fully wide.
"How can I make the wish?"
"You have to hold it as you're doing, make your wish, and then blow as much as you can, so the little white things fly away." WY explains.
"Wow!" A-Yuan exclaims before he frowns lightly and looks up at his parents. "But will it really work?"
"Of course it will! Look your A-Die made a wish when we were kids and it worked!" WY says before turning to LZ and winking at him.
LZ looks at his husband with inconceivable fondness, unable to not smile at his small family.
"Oh, then I wish... For all of us to be happy together, forever!" A-Yuan exclaims before blowing on the flower and making the white things fly away.
WY's laughter echoes through the room. "Oh radish, you're just like your father!"
LZ looks at WY and at A-Yuan's confused expression. He lets a huff escape his lips before pulling both his husband and his son in a tight hug.
These flowers really can make wishes come true.
