I will make a public statement in due course. I will speak about the more than 25 years of trauma and also of the terrorizing of myself and those close to me. I will call out the lies told publicly by Sean Chu. I will name those who have been threatening and harassing me. #abpoli

I never wanted my worst life trauma to be public. I don’t know the motives of whoever leaked it. Thank you to all those who gave me and my story a voice when I was prevented from having one. Your courage and compassion for a child of 25 years ago is amazing & deeply appreciated.

Many have tried to silence me or to misuse my trauma & story for their personal motivations. Many of those people hold elected office or are directly adjacent to them. Most are powerful & wealthy. Some are people I called friends or colleagues. I will not be silent any longer.

My motivation for coming forward has never been, nor will it ever be about vengeance, money or any political agenda. It is solely about my safety and that of those close to me. Particularly my young child. The terrorizing has affected every aspect of my life. It needs to stop.

In recent months I was forced to move for my safety and that of my child. Within eight days I had property destroyed at my new home. Not long afterwards a sim enabled GPS tracker was found in my young child’s backpack. My child has lived in fear since. That changed everything.

The sim card is registered in the name of a Calgary based private investigator who appears to be a retired RCMP officer. There are reportedly various allegations made by others about alleged frightening conduct of this former officer. Those are not my stories to tell though.

It has been extremely traumatic and triggering to deal with the same police force that employed the officer who sexually assaulted me when I was a child. The same police force who refused to appropriately deal with that sexual assault. Dealing with RCMP is also very triggering.

In 25 years little has changed with how police forces deal with the victim of a sexual assault. Especially when the perpetrator is/was one of their own. It is déjà vu with some of the same adversarial conduct. The public is watching real time. I hope to see meaningful changes.

Stories like mine are more common than many in the public are willing to face. Survivors are likely adjacent to many of you. They hear your words. They see your actions or inaction. Choose those words & your actions carefully. Any naming I do is about accountability. It is time.

There is no such thing as a perfect victim. Trauma responses often get misinterpreted or unfairly twisted. Please read about survivor trauma and cognitive dissonance. Being knowledgeable about both will help you and survivors, including those that may be adjacent to many of you.

Being a victim is incredibly expensive. Especially when many of those threatening and harassing are very wealthy & known to be incredibly litigious. Legal fees add up very fast. If you are able, I appreciate any help I can get to fight back. gofundme.com/f/5thcze #abpoli #yyccc
