The compromise deal on #LossAndDamageFinance by #COP27 President has just dropped

New proposal by #COP27 president on #LossAndDamageFinance includes the establishment of a new fund "for assisting developing countries in responding to loss and damage"

Proposal would also establish "transitional committee" to figure out the details of the L&D Fund - by COP28 already

The work on the #LossAndDamageFinance fund would be informed by:
-2 workshops
-UNFCCC synthesis report
-Country submissions

Proposal also suggests next Glasgow Dialogue (in June 2023) to focus on #LossAndDamageFinance arrangements..
