On 24 November, a horrific incident in #Daikundi Province resulted in the killing of 10 people, including 4 children& one #Taliban member. 7 others, including 2 TB, were wounded in the incident. 5 were arrested by the TB.
No official source confirmed the number of casualties yet.
There are contradictory information about the nature of Daikundi incident:
Anti-TB fronts: Taliban attacked a village and massacred Hazara civilians.
TB/Pro-TB sources: There was a civil lawsuit between 2 families& the IEA wanted to arrest some people, then the incident happened.
Third Party/other sources:
Taliban went to a village on the outskirts of Nilli City, to arrest some locals over a #land_conflict between them, but they resisted and a clash happened. Some #Hazara TB (e.g. General Sadaqat), involved in the local conflicts, #provoked the incident.
#Taliban spokesman confirmed that "a group of rebels was crushed in #Daikundi Province."
"The day before yesterday, the IEA received reports about the presence of armed men in a house in Sewak-shibar area of Daikundi province.
The IEA 2 times sent local...
... elders to them, asking the armed people to lay down their weapons& avoid rebellion.
But despite repeated attempts, the rebels refused to lay down their weapons.
Later, the security forces were compelled to enter that place. The IEA security forces faced with the resistance...
...one security personnel was martyred and 2 others were injured. Then the security forces also launched an operation, due to which 9 armed rebels were killed and 4 were injured."
#Taliban's spokesman, in Dari version of the statement, denied casualties to children but confirmed that one woman was wounded in the "crossfire".
This comes as the UNICEF was "deeply shocked and saddened" by the alleged killing of four children in the incident.
