1. Who actually believes this article from @CNN that @donie wrote painting @yoyoel as a victim?

THREAD 🧵 TIME:

Let’s do a quick thread to reflect exactly who Mr. Roth is:

cnn.com/2022/12/12/tec…

2. By him own account:

He cares DEEPLY about building technology that’s resistant to threats and helps people and communities connect SAFELY and AUTHENTICALLY.

HOWEVER…

3. As illustrated by @ShellenbergerMD, @yoyoel’s version of authenticity is limited in scope to those with the same political leaning.

Well, this guy did get a PHD in communicating, so maybe I’m not that decent at being receptive of what he’s attempting to communicate.

Hmmm…

4. Being the top of Trust and Safety at @Twitter, he took steps to destroy that authenticity.

As @bariweiss pointed out earlier, a Chinese employee pointed out how @yoyoel’s efforts to de-platform @realDonaldTrump were akin to the Chinese Communist Party.

But what about safety?

5. We’ll it appears that he felt @charliekirk11 was a reasonable safety threat to the public square…

…but, according to new information, he felt the safety of minors engaging in gay sex was not safety but somehow an expression?

6. But how can I be sure that @charliekirk11 is being truthful?

After all, @yoyoel felt strongly enough to silence him.

Maybe I should read more into Roth. Oh, what’s that you say?

I can’t read his dicertatcion due to @Penn removing it?

Only if the web kept some archive…

7. You know, at the very least @DPRK_News has trust and safety in mind.

And to the best of my knowledge, while they may be terrible people they are at least NOT child groomers.

8. Because @yoyoel is definitely past the demilitarization zone of #groomer if he’s talking about this 12 years ago:

9. Additionally, it appears that his efforts on trust and safety surrounding the sexual exploitation of children while at @Twitter were non-existent:

10. This reality was made clear even before his time at @Twitter was through, as evidenced by a lawsuit filed in January of 2021:

nypost.com/2021/01/21/twi…

11. Reported by the same outlet that @yoyoel used his position to effectively blackout the #HunterBidenLaptop story, remember that?

nypost.com/2020/10/14/ema…

12. But somehow, we are supposed to believe that @yoyoel is a victim?

Sorry, not sorry, the guy who ignored the sexual exploitation of children - when that was part of his actual position description - as trust and safety chief doesn’t get a pass.

13. By @yoyoel’s actions, he eroded free speech by limited access to the digital town square while colluding with government officials:

“Definitely not meeting with the @FBI

14. In summary, @yoyoel thought he knew better than the public, didn’t care about Trust and Safety, and is NOT the victim.

It’s a blessing that @elonmusk has acquired @Twitter, restored the entrance to this digital town square, and ensured Trust and Safety isn’t about politics.
