Something to discuss maybe …

Iam curious if anybody know a answer to my question...

The upcoming (EVM)Sidechain on the #XRPLedger uses Tendermint as a consensus mechanism and uses Proof of Stake (PoS)...
So the EVM-Sidechain needs PoS-Validators and Delegators... it).

but on the most PoS-Chains, unfortunately, there is always 3-5 TOP Validators which mostly together account for more than 50% of the Stake...

Is it possible to define an max limit(in %) that can be delegated to a validator? And would that be something from which…

the decentralization grad on the EVM-Sidechain could benefit? (And so the XRPL)

I mean, I could well imagine that if e.g. #Ripple provides a PoS validator, that's exactly where a large part of people will delegate their #XRP’s (eXRPs) to.

Even if @XRPLLabs WOULD deliver a validator (have no information if they even consider), I can also think of the Teams of @xrpscan , @GateHub , @TowoLabs , @rippleitinNZ , @Coil & @bithomp (all knowledgeable about infrastructure) who might consider setting up a validator..

but you could already see that most people would delegate to them (for reasons of popularity) and create exactly the concentration of delegations to a few top validators that most PoS-Chains have as a problem.

&yes, there will maybe a few validators from community-people(dont want to call names) but i think exactly this person’s who act like they want the best for the community only use this opportunity to get delegations/$s instead of bringing really good/needed tech as a validator

I would delegate my stake to …

Ok, I have just seen new information that was absolutely unknown to me in this form before....

Maybe also new for you?...

"The current version that you see is what I call v1 with an EVM sidechain that uses PoS and a centralized 1 node bridge connected to the XRPL Devnet. We are planning a v2 in Jan-March 2023 where we will have another version of the EVM sidechain connected to the XRPL Devnet. ...

...This sidechain that will use the Proof of Authority (PoA) consensus mechanism and will have a more decentralized bridge. There is a list of sidechain validators and each validator in the list gets to generate a block. There will be an initial list at genesis but over time more

validators can be added or removed. The addition or removal of validators will be based on a majority vote from existing validators. There is no staking involved. Please let me know if you have any questions. We want many community members to run validator nodes on the EVM SideC.
