1. In January 1971 already East Pakistan ( now Bangladesh) was Boiling and India was determined to Fracture Pakistan .

2. Hashim Qureshi along with his cousin Ashraf Qureshi hijacked this Indian Airlines plane on 30 January 1971 (Ganga) en route from Srinagar to Jammu and brought the plane to Lahore, Pakistan 🙄

3. Now comes the Twist in the story ...
‘#Ganga’ was one of the oldest aircraft in the Indian Airlines fleet and was already withdrawn from service but was re-inducted just few days before ‘the Hijacking’ 😉!!

4. The Indian Airlines flight Ganga was carrying 30 people including crew members. After landing at Lahore Airport .

Pakistani ISI /Politicians and Media was jubilant.. happy & made hero of those two Hijackers 🤔

.. #Fools were not knowing- What’s Going to hit them next 🤣🤣!

5. On February 1st ... 1971 .. all the passengers and crew returned back safely to India via Amritsar .
Ganga was set on fire & destroyed by happy Pakistanis 🤔

India Earned The Sympathy Of the World.. and Pakistan got exposed but masterstroke was yet to come..🤓

6. Three months after this incident,
Indian Govt.banned all flights of Pakistan flying over our territory and it exposed that Pakistan was actively supporting terrorists.😊

Pakistan was trying to curb-civil unrest in East Pakistan by using civil flights to send resources.🤓

7. The shortest air route between east and west Pakistan was from Indian Air Space.
Any other air route without using India air space was at least 3 times longer and time/fuel consuming
&
Serving East Pakistan became difficult for West Pakistan 🤓!

8. Pakistan then realised that they have been fooled & ware made a #Bakra by #RAW ….
the ‘hijacking heroes’ suddenly became Villains & were sent to prison for being ‘Indian spies’😆😆😆!!

9. Pakistan started a crackdown on JKNLF-hundreds of members of JKNLF were arrested,interrogated in Shahee Qila,Lahore & Dolayee Camp near Muzaffarabad.🤓

Pakistan suspected That they were on parole of R&AW

Closure of Airspace Eventually Helped India in Liberating Bangladesh 😌

10. Later six of JKNLF members were tried in a special court of Pakistan under the charges of collaboration with the Indian intelligence services 🤓

#Irony ... Most of them were designated as Criminals in both countries... 🤦🏻‍♂️ !!

11. In November 1971 -the Importance Of #Ganga hijack became all too clear & fruitful. 🧐

The Pakistani Air Force deployed in Dhaka was isolated and cornered, and this disadvantage was fully utilised by India to liberate the region, which became Bangladesh 🥸!

Hijacked by Qureshi Fellows ...

By using a toy pistol and a fake grenade 😂😂 !
