/11 thread on the changed logistics of the π·πΊ forces in S-Kherson after the retreat. unloading/storing of ammo within HIMARS range was prohibited by Surovikin. causing them to abbandon HUB's like Myrne (hit nov. 11th) & Chaplynka (heli base & c2 centre) animation by @bradyafr twitter.com/i/web/status/1β¦
/11 This so-called 100 km rule made them look for alternatives, because of their dependance on railtransport their options in S-Kherson were limited to towns along the Crimea-Melitopol railway lines, which enters Ukraine at Chonhar.Along this line only 4 towns had the facilities
/11 to function as large supply Hubs. Novooleksiivka (which also connects with rail to Henichesk), Rykove, Sokolohirne and Yakimivka in Zaporizhia. Novooleksiivka as first town on the line also has a important road connection to Nova Khakova & rail connection to Heniche'sk.
/11 the first indications Novooleksiivka was used as railway hub were images posted by @bayraktar_1love on 16 okt. Which were geolocated to the trainstation & showed troops & trucks at the trainstation. However due to deteriorating weather conditions no sat. imagery
/11 was available till the first week of Jan. However on low-res imagery, large defensive works around all of these towns could be seen. On the Hi-res imagery a large number of military trucks unloading box & fuel cars can be seen, also a number of dumptrucks can be seen
/11 most likely loading building materials for the defensive works still being build by π·πΊ forces. To still be able to supply the frontlines, a supply hub for trucks was established just 25 km's north in the town of Novotroit'ske multiple warehouses along the road are used
/11 to store ammunitions & other critical supplies before being transported toward the frontlines along the Dnipro river. My big friend @Tatarigami_UA has a very nice post about the next town on this railway line Sokolohirne, so give him a follow π
/11 as can be seen on the map below,Russian forces are intentionally placing their C2 & logistics hubs just outside of HIMARS range, giving πΊπ¦ longer range cap. would stretch the π·πΊ supply lines further and create grave problems in their supply chain & lead to defeat in Kherson.
